3) Chicago Bulls that make the most sense to trade: Otto Porter Jr.

Since the hiring of former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan is complete for the Bulls to replace their ex-head coach Jim Boylen, they can find out which players on the current roster fit best with his coaching schemes and play style. There will be a new locker room culture instilled in the Windy City, very likely for the better.

And one player that could be on his way out to free up some cap space for the Bulls and rejuvenate the look of a hopefully more healthy wing rotation moving forward is veteran former Washington Wizards small forward Otto Porter Jr. As the highest paid player on the Bulls current cap sheet, OPJ is taking up a lot of room that might be better utilized elsewhere.

While the more than $28 million price tag that he carries might be way more than a player of his production level and spotty injury history should be getting, there are worse contracts out there at the moment. That could give the Bulls enough leverage to potentially configure a trade deal to ship off OPJ to a team that can make the salary match work and needs to add wing depth with a veteran piece like him.

OPJ played in just 14 games during the 2019-20 shortened season with the Bulls (starting in all but five of them). He averaged 11.9 points per game, 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.4 blocks. OPJ shot 44.3 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 70.4 percent from the free-throw line.

He has a player option that he is very likely to pick up this offseason, but the Bulls could use that contract situation to ship him elsewhere if the return works out in the near future.
