1) Chicago Bulls players to watch in group workouts: Coby White3.5

Last but not least, maybe the most important player overall to catch progression from this offseason will come from rookie 6-foot-5 former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Coby White. His rookie season did leave something to be desired, but the Bulls seventh overall pick from the 2019 NBA Draft has a lot of promise.

The way that White played down the stretch was exactly the way that this Bulls fan base likely wanted to see him show out in the season that was. But he also started off in a bad way too, which impacted the overall stat line and efficiency that he posted in this rookie season. All in all, at least it ended on a high note.

White played in all 65 games (starting in just the final game of the season) during his rookie campaign. He averaged 13.2 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.1 blocks. White shot 39.4 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from beyond the arc, and 79.1 percent from the free-throw line.

If White can continue to show the level of improvement for which he put on display to get him the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month honors for February, then it won’t be long until he proves he’ll be a quality starter in this backcourt rotation over the long haul. Not to mention that White is one of the more entertaining offensive players to watch that is a big part of this young core.
