2) Chicago Bulls free agent targets to replace Kris Dunn: Avery Bradley

If the Bulls want to stray to more of the veteran route to find a short-term free agent replacement for Dunn this offseason, then a good place to look would be the Los Angeles Lakers 6-foot-3 and 180 pound combo guard Avery Bradley. The veteran option of this list could bring a lot of value to the table for whoever the Bulls next head coach will be to replace the departed Jim Boylen, and for the new front office.

Having a veteran voice in the locker room was largely why the Bulls brought in former Indiana Pacers veteran forward Thaddeus Young and Washington Wizards combo guard Tomas Satoransky out of free agency last offseason. But it would seem that the Bulls miscast one of those two major free agent signings, and got very inconsistent play out of the other.

Bradley would bring more of a steady hand to the table if the Lakers don’t want to bring back the standout perimeter defender for next season. He played in 49 games during the 2019-20 regular season for the Lakers (44 of which he started in), but he opted out of playing in the bubble for the NBA’s 22-team restart plan at Disney World.

In those 49 games played during the regular season, Bradley averaged 8.6 points per game, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.1 blocks. He shot 44.4 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from beyond the arc, and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line. His 0.5 defensive box plus/minus rating was one of the best on the Lakers outside of LeBron James and Anthony Davis during the regular season.
