2) Chicago Bulls trade targets that fit well with Karnisovas: Royce O’Neale, Small Forward

A glaring need that the Bulls have this offseason to add a three-and-D wing to the rotation actually could realistically be accomplished in the near future. There is a decent abundance of underrated wings that could be made available in the NBA Draft, in free agency, and on the trade block, this offseason.

One particular solid name that Karnisovas and the Bulls could target on the trade block is the Utah Jazz 27-year-old former Baylor Bears small forward Royce O’Neale. This 6-foot-5 and 225 pound wing and Killeen, TX, native had a solid season with the Utah Jazz prior to getting knocked out in the first round of the playoffs by the three-seed Nuggets.

In the season that was for the Jazz, O’Neale played in 71 games (starting in 62 of them). O’Neale averaged 6.3 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks. He shot 43.3 percent from the field, 37.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 76.4 percent from the free-throw line. On the surface, it seems like O’Neale would be the perfect wing target for the Bulls to provide an insurance policy behind Otto Porter Jr.

O’Neale did sign a four-year contract extension, worth $36 million, earlier this year with the Jazz. That would be a sign that Utah might want to keep O’Neale around beyond the 2019-20 season. But if the Bulls could put together the right trade package, they might be able to snag a quality three-and-D wing that could add depth in a vital spot of the rotation.
