Soon there could be mutual interest between wing Deni Avdija and the Chicago Bulls organization with the fourth pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The 2020 NBA Draft Lottery was very friendly to the Chicago Bulls, as they were able to land the fourth overall pick. That saw the Bulls jump up three spots in the draft lottery order to be able to snag the fourth overall pick in the first round. Landing the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2020 draft could give the Bulls a plethora of options as to who they should pick to try and rejuvenate the rebuild.

One intriguing option that the Bulls could go with that would bring plenty of potential to the table for this young core heading into the fourth year of the rebuild would be Maccabi Tel Aviv 6-foot-7 shooting guard/small forward Deni Avdija. And apparently Avdija feels that the Bulls could be somewhat of a dream landing spot for him too given his NBA fandom growing up.

In an interview he did last year, Avdija talked about how the Bulls were his favorite basketball team. That could help with the Bulls forming their draft board, especially if they already had interest in picking Avdija if he’s still available fourth overall.

Given the need that the Bulls have to add depth on the wing, Avdija could be a really nice fit with this team. His skill set as an improving shooter, natural playmaker, and facilitator with incredible vision, Avdija would theoretically compliment the skill sets of both point guard Coby White and shooting guard Zach LaVine.

But the Bulls might have to wait a bit longer before they decide who they pick with their lottery pick in the 2020 draft. According to a report earlier this week from ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the league is planning on pushing back the 2020 draft yet again. It was originally pushed back to mid-October, but there’s not a known target date yet for when they could delay it again.

Last year, the Bulls picked up the former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard White with the seventh overall pick in the draft. They could fill a positional need and even potentially pick the best player left on the board if they can get Avdija in the four slot this year.
