The new podcast series to follow-up on the Chicago Bulls docuseries “The Last Dance”, called “Beyond The Last Dance”, is set to premier on Aug. 31.

The hit 10-part documentary series highlighting the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls NBA Championship winning team “The Last Dance” helped basketball fans around the United States and the globe entirely get some level of entertainment during the season’s hiatus. It also gave Bulls fans the opportunity to reminisce hopefully with better times ahead.

That was the sixth NBA Championship that all-time great shooting guard Michael Jordan and his uber-talented squad won with all of those great dynasty teams of the 1990’s. The docuseries also told the stories of the previous five titles in chronological order, and profiled a lot of Jordan’s top teammates including Hall-of-Fame forwards Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, former Sixth Man of the Year Toni Kukoc, and guard Steve Kerr, among others.

The Last Dance premiered throughout April and May, with two parts coming each weekend throughout the total of the 10 parts of the docuseries. It went through the career of Jordan, along with his most notable teammates and foes along the way throughout his playing days in the NBA.

However, there could be a sequel coming out for The Last Dance in podcast form in the very near future. According to a post on the Twitter timeline of Marc Stein on Aug. 25, the NBA will soon officially announce a 10-part podcast series to follow-up on The Last Dance that will be called “Beyond the Last Dance”.

The co-hosts for the podcast Beyond The Last Dance will be former Jordan teammate and long-time point guard BJ Armstrong and former Bulls beat writer JA Adande. It will be done as part of NBA Entertainment and posted on Audible.

This podcast series is set to begin on Aug. 31 and will feature 40 minute episodes for each of the 10 parts. The new podcast series could help provide even more opportunity for Bulls fans to look back on the good years when MJ was winning titles in Chicago in the 1990’s.
