The Chicago Bulls got a big win during the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery night by getting a top four pick to help push this rebuild along.

An offseason mostly filled with good news for the Chicago Bulls, in a very tangible sense, only continued on the night of the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery. On the evening of Aug. 20, the Bulls figured out where they would be picking in the 2020 NBA Draft, and it was good news at that. The Bulls will be picking fourth overall in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft.

What makes this news even better is the fact that the Bulls won’t be picking seventh overall in the first round of the draft. In each of the last three drafts, the Bulls picked seventh overall. While none of those could really be considered anything close to busts yet, they haven’t panned out in a big way yet either.

Last year, the Bulls picked the former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Coby White seventh overall. And they got the former Arkansas Razorbacks big man Daniel Gafford with the 38th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 draft.

This year, the Bulls will have the fourth overall pick in the first round of the draft, and they have the Memphis Grizzlies pick in the second round (44th overall). There’s plenty that the Bulls can do with these two picks, especially if they keep theirs in the second round. They made really good use out of the second round pick from last year’s draft.

The three teams picking ahead of the Bulls will be (in order from top-to-bottom) the Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, and Charlotte Hornets. Rounding out the top five is the Bulls divisional foe Cleveland Cavaliers.

With all of that in mind, here’s a look into the three early options that the Bulls could realistically look into with the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2020 draft.
