Another trade with a team in the Eastern Conference where the Bulls could potentially shift around their cap sheet for the better and land a true star could be accomplished with the Washington Wizards. Over the course of the last 18 months, the Bulls and Wizards became very familiar with each other in terms of becoming trade partners.

Last year, the Bulls shopped off the forward duo of Jabari Parker and Bobby Portis at the trade deadline for the return of OPJ. And last offseason, the Bulls landed combo guard Tomas Satoransky from the Wizards in a sign-and-trade deal. While neither of those two deals proved to be exceptional for the Bulls to date, maybe this hypothetical option could be the home run they’re looking for.

This particular trade package would see the Bulls shipping off the top overall pick in the 2020 draft along with LaVine and veteran forward Thaddeus Young. In return, they would receive star shooting guard Bradley Beal and the former Los Angeles Clippers guard Jerome Robinson. Young and LaVine together help to salary match with Beal, and Robinson could add some potency and depth to the backcourt rotation.

The Wizards wouldn’t be getting the bad end of the stick here either in this hypothetical trade deal. LaVine is certainly a capable replacement for Beal, and the recovering point guard John Wall could have someone to learn under him if they were to get someone like LaMelo Ball with the top pick in this draft. It makes sense for all sides.
