3. Onyeka Okongwu, Forward/Center

If the Bulls decide to keep power forward Lauri Markkanen and center Wendell Carter Jr. around beyond this offseason, then the need to add frontcourt depth mostly goes away. But if they do decide to part ways with Markkanen and/or WCJ this offseason, then finding a big man in this draft class becomes much more important.

And possibly the best big man prospect in this draft class that the Bulls could go after is the former USC Trojans star power forward/center Onyeka Okongwu. Both Okongwu and the former Memphis Tigers center James Wiseman are likely going to be talked about as the top bigs in this draft class. The former of the two does seem to have a higher floor out of the gates at the next level.

For most of the 2019-20 college hoops season, Okongwu was not considered a consensus top 10 pick in this draft lottery. But his play only continued to improve as the season moved along, and the combination of his potent two-way skill set for a big man and his gifted physical tools makes him a very appealing prospect for NBA Draft Lottery teams.

The 6-foot-10 and 245 pound Chino, CA, native and Chino Hall High School product was a former five-star recruit that signed with the USC basketball program last year. During his freshman campaign at USC Okongwu averaged 16.2 points per game, 8.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and a whopping 1.2 steals, and 2.7 blocks. He shot 61.6 percent from the field, 25.0 percent from beyond the arc, and 72.0 percent from the free-throw line.
