Where should the Chicago Bulls be looking if they get lucky enough to win the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery, which occurs on Aug. 20?

At this point of the offseason for the Chicago Bulls, all of the attention is coming down to the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery and what could happen on the night of Aug. 20. The Bulls have roughly the same spot and odds in the draft lottery this year than they did in each of the last three drafts. If the Bulls get the seventh overall pick again in this draft, then it would likely drive the fan base crazy.

But at least there’s a new front office regime in place to try and reshape the direction of this rebuild heading into its fourth year. Former Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas is taking over for the former vice president of basketball operations John Paxson as the lead voice in the front office. Former Philadelphia 76 senior VP of player personnel Marc Eversley is replacing Gar Forman as the Bulls next general manager.

The official title for Karnisovas with the Bulls front office will be executive VP of basketball operations.

Another positive move that the Bulls made this offseason, prior to the start of the draft lottery, was parting ways with now former head coach Jim Boylen. Finding a better head coach to lead this rebuild could help the Bulls have a more successful stint in free agency and make the best out of whatever pick they wind up with in this draft lottery.

According to the Tankathon odds, the Bulls have a 7.5 percent chance of getting the first pick in this draft lottery, and a 32.0 percent chance of landing in the top four. The three teams that have the best chance of getting the first overall pick are the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Minnesota Timberwolves.

If the Bulls are able to win the draft lottery (or at least land in the top three), what would be considered the grand prize prospects for them in this class.
