Former Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is still making waves in the NBA, but gave a lot of opposing players problems in the past.

The career of the former Chicago Bulls MVP winning point guard Derrick Rose is one of a true roller coaster ride. D-Rose was likely the NBA’s best point guard in the early 2010’s, but knee injuries started to derail his career as it moved along into the mid-2010’s. And once the downfall of Rose started in the Windy City, it took the Bulls with him.

What really sparked the rebuild a few years back was the departure of D-Rose and star small forward Jimmy Butler. The Bulls originally sent D-Rose off to the New York Knicks and Butler off to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Sending Butler out of the Windy City was really the last domino to fall so that the rebuild could begin.

During his run with the Bulls, Rose was a three-time All-Star selection, Rookie of the Year award winner, one-time All-NBA Team selection, and the 2010-11 MVP. He was the youngest player to win the NBA MVP honors during the 2010-11 campaign.

Since his run with the Bulls ended, Rose spent bits and pieces of one or two seasons with the Knicks, Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Detroit Pistons. He’s currently in the midst of his first full offseason in the Motor City with the Pistons. Rose signed a two-year contract worth around $15 million last offseason to join the Bulls divisional foe Pistons.

But it appears that Rose has found his way back in a significant role in the NBA, which is great to see even from the perspective of a Bulls fan, while he’s playing with a divisional foe. He should continue to make waves around the NBA heading into his 30’s.

With that, here’s a look into the three players that D-Rose was able to consistently dominate the most since the outset of his NBA career.
