A move that was anticipated for a good while now, the Chicago Bulls parted ways with now former head coach Jim Boylen on the morning of Aug. 14.

Now that the Chicago Bulls have officially moved on from their now former head coach Jim Boylen, the fan base can rejoice and wonder what’s next for both this coaching staff and the rebuild heading into its fourth year. It was definitely time for the Bulls to move on from Boylen, and the official news arrived on Aug. 14.

Boylen finished up his run with the Bulls with a record of 39-84, since taking over for the departed former head coach Fred Hoiberg back in December 2018. Boylen was the interim head coach for the Bulls for most of the 2018-19 season. And he was the head coach obviously for the entirety of the 2019-20 season. He finished up this past season for the Bulls with a record of 22-43.

There wasn’t much progress to boast for the Bulls during the third year of the rebuild. Despite a lot more optimism coming into the season, the Bulls didn’t do much better in the season that was than any of the previous two during this rebuild. The three major free agent signings that came in last offseason did not pay many dividends in the season that was.

But it wasn’t just the lack of success in the win column that got this fan base fed up with Boylen. It was his constant antics that were supposed to send a message to the team. Instead, the antics sent a message to the rest of the league that the Bulls were in a bad spot, and didn’t have a good head coach. It also seemed to frustrate his team more than anything.

With that in mind, here’s a look back at the three worst moments for Boylen as head coach of the Bulls.
