All of the names on this list do come from other Central Division foes. The good news for the Bulls in that regard is that they can go after trade targets that are more familiar to them. But the new front office regime is going to also be familiar with other trade targets outside of the Central Division, which is somewhat of a “catch-22”.

Anyhow, the Bulls could get creative and go after one of the bigger names on another divisional foe that is currently competing in the season’s restart at Disney World. The Indiana Pacers standout versatile big man and former Texas Longhorn Myles Turner is having a solid season since he started play in the bubble earlier this month.

Although it does seem as if Turner hit a plateau in terms of his per game stats in the last few years with the Pacers. So far this season, he’s played in 60 games (starting in all of them). He’s averaged 12.0 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 2.2 blocks. Turner shot 45.9 percent from the field, 34.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 75.5 percent from the free-throw line.

There is a sizable $18 million that Turner has remaining on his contract per year through the end of the 2022-23 season. But Turner usually plays up to the value of his contract, even if he doesn’t produce at the same level as someone like Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine. If the Bulls want to go in a different direction for the rebuild than center Wendell Carter Jr. or rookie Daniel Gafford, Turner could be a good place to look.
