A potentially volatile offseason in terms of trade rumors for the Chicago Bulls should start with targeting the right players to re-direct the rebuild.

It is almost about that time where the speculation will begin as to which players the Chicago Bulls are going to be able to target in the free agency and trade markets, along with the picks they have in the 2020 NBA Draft. The Bulls are also soon to find out where they will be picking in the first round of the 2020 draft, since lottery night is just around the corner on Aug. 20.

It does seem weird that draft lottery night is that close since tangible Bulls news outside of the front office and turmoil within the locker room and coaching staff is all that surrounds this team’s headlines right now.

But now the Bulls are 10 days away from tangibly knowing where they can take the next step heading into the fourth year of the rebuild. And once the Bulls know where they’ll be picking in the draft, they can then decide how to formulate some of their plans for this cycle of free agency and how to command the trade market.

At least these much needed front office regime changes shouldn’t do anything to hurt the Bulls chances in free agency or on the trade block. Although it would do wonders if the Reinsdorfs were willing to part ways this offseason with under-performing and highly scrutinized head coach Jim Boylen.

All indications at this point in time seem to lead to Boylen returning next season as the Bulls head coach, though. And this could hurt the Bulls reputation, which means they might have to dig deeper to find answers on the trade and free agent market.

Here’s a look at three potential underrated trade options that the Bulls could look into this offseason.
