The Chicago Bulls got some great years out of the Miami Heat 30-year-old star small forward Jimmy Butler, but he had some fits against certain players.

During his run with the Chicago Bulls at the outset of his NBA career, star small forward/shooting guard Jimmy Butler was one of the bigger talents to run through the Windy City. The Bulls got nothing short of an absolute steal by picking “Jimmy G. Buckets” with the 30th overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft.

Butler is a product of the Marquette Golden Eagles basketball program, and a native of Tomball, TX. This 6-foot-7 and 230 pound 30-year-old wing played six seasons in a Bulls uniform to begin his career in the pros. Since then, he spent bits and pieces of two seasons under former Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and also parts of seasons with the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers.

In the midst of his inaugural season with the Heat, Butler was a dark horse MVP contender at one point. But while the Heat are trying to make a push to climb up the Eastern Conference standings during the NBA’s 22-team restart at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL, Butler is trying to work his way back from a lower-body injury.

Throughout his already accomplished NBA career to date, Butler is a five-time All-Star selection, two-time All-NBA Team selection, four-time All-Defensive Team honoree, and the 2014-15 NBA Most Improved Player of the Year award winner. Three of his All-Star nods came during his run with the Bulls, and one each with the Timberwolves and then this season with the Heat.

With all the success that Butler underwent so far in the first half of his career, he is still without even a trip to the NBA Finals or an MVP award. Here’s a look into three players that gave him some fits along the way in his career so far.
