The only Pistons player on this list also wasn’t their best during their back-to-back championship run in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. And Jordan has often described that tough Pistons team as his biggest challenge in the East in his NBA career. That is a big nod from an all-time great like Jordan.

But the one Pistons player that might’ve been tougher physically, and fouled, Jordan more than any other on that team is the former defensive standout rim protecting big man Bill Laimbeer. He was a four-time All-Star selection, two titles, and one rebounding title. Laimbeer also has more than 100 career regular season win shares to his name.

In recent years, Laimbeer was quoted saying that he thought that the Lakers superstar forward and former Cleveland Cavalier and member of the Miami Heat LeBron James is better than Jordan. That has to really stir the pot from a rivalry that once was one of the best in the NBA.

Moreover, Laimbeer didn’t have the best win percentage of any opposition to Jordan ever. But he did hand Jordan more career losses than any other individual player in the NBA in the great shooting guard’s run. Laimbeer held a career 24-20 record in the regular season and playoffs combined against Jordan.
