This last trade proposal in this hypothetical world where the Bulls actually explore solid options for Young on the block this offseason is with the Houston Rockets. The Bulls also get another piece involved from their group of three major free agent signings from last offseason. And the Rockets send over a few players that had their names on the trade block for a bit of time last year.
The Bulls send the former Washington Wizards sizable 6-foot-7 combo guard Tomas Satoransky along with Young to Space City. In return, the Bulls get the veteran shooting guard Eric Gordon and the two-way forward PJ Tucker from the Rockets. Gordon and Tucker would be two solid pieces that could help move along the rest of the Bulls young core.
But since Tucker and Gordon are a pretty good return for the Bulls that also likely brings in more value to Chicago and they’re sending to Houston, they do have to include a lottery protected future first round pick. This is a risk that would be worth it since Gordon and Tucker are no two players to scoff at.
Gordon did have somewhat of a down season in the 34 games he played in alongside superstar guard James Harden with the Rockets. He averaged 14.5 points per game, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists, while shooting 37.0 percent from the field and 31.9 percent from beyond the arc. But that could just mean that Gordon could be due for a bounce back season come the 2020-21 campaign.
