With trade rumors flying all over the place in discussion in the Chicago Bulls camp, where could forward Thaddeus Young eventually wind up?

It seems like some of the trade rumors are starting to heat up once again in the Chicago Bulls news cycle. With the more active part of the news cycle during the 2020 offseason just around the corner for the Bulls, they have to start planning out how the rest of it will go ahead of the start of the 2020-21 season.

The current Bulls player that appears to be the most available at the moment on the trade block would be veteran forward Thaddeus Young. In a report from K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago on July 25, Young could be the “most available” player from the Bulls right now. It was commonly speculated of late that the most available Bulls player entering the thick of this offseason was the 25-year-old 6-foot-6 shooting guard Zach LaVine.

Here’s more on what that report had to say on the matter of Young’s trade availability.

"In fact, according to executives from two other teams, Thad Young, not LaVine, is the player considered most readily available. That’s largely based on Young’s displeasure with his role and usage last season, his team-friendly deal that carries only a partial guarantee in 2021-22 and his dependability and professionalism."

But this report shows that might not be the case at this point in time. That would also make sense since LaVine is likely the best player on the current Bulls roster, while Young had a hard time meshing into his new role in his first season in the Windy City. It didn’t seem like Young wound up in the same role he was once promised when he was signed during last offseason’s free agent cycle.

Young was also made pretty available at the 2020 trade deadline, although the Bulls weren’t able to find the right deal to send him out of Chicago. Maybe this offseason is the time to move him along before his trade value diminishes too much.

Here’s a look into three potential trade packages that could work out well for the Bulls if they decide to ship out Young this offseason.
