3. Milwaukee Bucks

A team that does have a need at point guard heading into the season’s restart is also one of the true title contenders in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls Central Division foe Milwaukee Bucks are in need of a point guard to command the second or third unit, depending on how things play out between veterans Eric Bledsoe and George Hill.

Last year, the Bucks could’ve really used the boost of a point guard off the bench like Crawford when Hill and Bledsoe fell flat. There’s no guarantee that Bledsoe and Hill are going to deliver what the Bucks need alongside the reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who should now be healthy and ready to go.

On the surface, the Bucks have a good amount of point guard depth comparatively to the rest of the dark horse contenders in the East. But the Bucks have a fragile depth situation, and have the cap and roster room to bring Crawford into the mix. This would be a great way for the Bucks to utilize any of their remaining room on the bench.

Although it seems like Crawford played for nearly every team in the NBA throughout the 2000’s and the 2010’s, he has not had any stops in the Cream City. Milwaukee would give Crawford an opportunity to get his first ring, and he really deserves that chance. He might not get a lot of minutes consistently behind Bledsoe and Hill, but he is the right insurance policy for the Bucks to take out on the backcourt rotation.
