Chicago Bulls: 3 least favorite teammates Derrick Rose ever had
2. LeBron James, Forward
Although they were teammates for a very short span of time, D-Rose and current Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James apparently clashed when they played together with the divisional foe Cavs. At a low point of D-Rose’s career, during the 2017-18 season, he joined up with the Cavaliers and LeBron.
D-Rose played in just 16 games with the Cavaliers. In those 16 games he played in with the Cavaliers, he averaged 9.8 points per game, 1.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.3 blocks. Rose would wind up hitting an ultimate low point during that 2017-18 season after he was part of a massive multi-team trade that sent him to the Jazz.
The Jazz waived Rose before he even played in a single game with them.
Later that same season, he signed a contract for the rest of the year with the Timberwolves. And he would play out the 2018-19 season in a Timberwolves uniform before a torn UCL would end his run in the Twin Cities.
Apparently when LeBron and D-Rose were teammates with the Cavs, the latter of the two found it “super awkward”. With that he was more or less referring to how he wound up with the Cavaliers in the first place, but it still didn’t seem like the match made in heaven that it once appeared it could be when the two were rivals in the early 2010’s.
What makes matters worse is when the likes of LeBron, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh spurned D-Rose and the Bulls during the 2010 offseason to join up in South Beach.
