The Chicago Bulls were left out of the NBA restart, but there are some former fan-favorites playing for new teams who will have big roles on the quest for a title.

It would’ve been awesome to see the Chicago Bulls involved in the NBA restart in Orlando, but thanks to a miserable 22-43 record, they’re one of eight teams that find themselves on the outside looking in.

Bulls fans still have plenty of reasons to be interested in the restart, though. For starters, Bulls fans are basketball fans, and basketball fans are craving any sort of NBA competition. But there are also a number of former Bulls fan-favorites who now have roles on title-chasing teams. Even though they aren’t in the red and black anymore, it’s still fun to see them thrive for a team that’s finding some success.

Here are five former Bulls players to root for in Orlando.

Former Chicago Bulls to root for in Orlando: D.J. Augustin

D.J. Augustin’s time in Chicago was short. He only played in 61 regular-season games, but it was a memorable 61 games. He was one of those random, short, offensive-minded point guards that the Bulls were able to find success with.

In his 61 games, Augustin averaged 14.9 points and five assists per game. He also shot an impressive 41.1 percent from behind the arc on 5.3 attempts per game.

Now, at 32 years old, Augustin finds himself in a leadership role on a Magic squad desperately trying to make some noise in the playoffs. Remember what Augustin did last year to the Raptors in Round 1?

The Magic likely won’t have a huge impact on the result of the 2019-20 season, but Augustin is still a fun guy for Bulls fans to cheer for.
