This seems to be a junior-heavy list for the Bulls to look further into among the top NBA Draft prospects that are also sleepers in this class. A potential draft target that should’ve been on the front office’s radar for a while, even under the previous regime, is the Colorado Buffaloes former junior shooting guard/small forward Tyler Bey.

Colorado’s best player for the last couple seasons didn’t get the opportunity to see out the last of his playing days in the PAC-12 with an NCAA Tournament run. But at least he did have a standout third-year in college. Bey was a two-time All-PAC-12 Team selection, 2018-19 PAC-12 Most Improved Player, and the 2019-20 PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Year.

The two-way ability that Bey brings to the table for a team like the Bulls is definitely worth consideration if he were to fall to them in the second round. Bey played in 31 games during his junior season (starting in 30 of them. He averaged 13.8 points per game, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.2 blocks. Bey shot 53.0 percent from the field, 41.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 74.3 percent from free-throw line.

That amounted to a 55.5 effective field goal percentage and 61.1 true shooting percentage.

Much like some of the other prospects on this list, Bey showed tremendous progress during his last two seasons at Colorado. He registered a career-best 10.2 box plus/minus rating and a whopping .228 win shares per 40 minutes as a junior. Where Bey excels most are with his versatile scoring ability and peskiness in drawing turnovers.

Inconsistencies off-ball and development as a facilitator are areas where Bey could still improve.
