If the Miami Heat are willing to be open to a trade with the Indiana Pacers for shooting guard Victor Oladipo, the Chicago Bulls should be too.
If the Chicago Bulls tried to pull off a trade deal that involved their Central Division foe and recovering star shooting guard Victor Oladipo, it would be sure to get mixed reactions. The former Indiana Hoosiers standout guard now trying to get back into All-Star caliber form with the Indiana Pacers had a turbulent run in the NBA in the last 18 months.
Although, we will get a good look at how Oladipo is able to return to form once the NBA season resumes, with game action starting on July 31 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL. The Pacers will be one of the nine teams out of the Eastern Conference to try and challenge true title contenders like the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors to claim the crown this season. The only team in the East currently outside of the playoff picture that will be participating in game action at Disney World later next month is the Washington Wizards.
In the Western Conference, there are 13 teams that will be playing in the NBA’s restart at Disney World. The West had a lot more teams that were within striking distance of the eight seed to come back with the restart plan. That was a testament to the competitiveness of that side compared to the East.
Yet, there are some top teams in the East still looking to add talent heading into next season. The Miami Heat are reportedly (Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald) looking to add star power around former Bull Jimmy Butler, and Pacers star Oladipo is apparently at the “top of their list”.
If the Heat are willing to go after Oladipo, then maybe the Pacers would be willing to make him available for the right return from the Bulls. Here’s a look into three possible trade packages that the Bulls could put together to get Oladipo from the Pacers.
