player. 125. . Forward. Atlanta Hawks. Deni Avdija. 2

The Hawks already messed up by letting go of one international star in Luka Doncic. They won’t make that same mistake again.

Deni Avdija isn’t, and won’t ever be, Luka Doncic, but he’s really, really good in his own way. He’s ultra-crafty with the ball in his hands. He gets out in transition. He has incredible vision. He can score around the rim. And his jump shot has a nice rhythm to it. At 6-foot-9, he’s the perfect wing prospect.

He’s also exactly what the Hawks need. They have a franchise point guard in Trae Young. They have a foundational big man in John Collins. They have a rim-running, shot-blocking center in Clint Capela. And now they just need wing guys to fill in the gaps. They’re off to a nice start with Kevin Huerter, Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter, but they could use more.
