1. As much wing help as possible

If the Bulls get a fully healthy and effective season from the small forward combination that is former Washington Wizard Otto Porter Jr. and former Boise State Bronco Chandler Hutchison, then wing becomes a much smaller position of need. But OPJ played in just 14 games in the season that was for the Bulls, and Hutch just 28.

What’s even worse for the latter of the two is that Hutch is dealing with the same lingering upper-body injury for his first two seasons in the NBA. That doesn’t spell a long and promising career in the league in terms of durability. He did improve in certain areas of his game this season, but he wasn’t healthy enough to fill this positional depth need.

OPJ also tends to have lingering injury issues, but not with one particular part of his body. He missed most of the 2019-20 regular season with a foot injury. But the Bulls do need him to be healthy to make use of his sizable contract that will pay him more than $28 million next year in base salary.

There isn’t much that the Bulls can boast on the wing beyond Hutch and OPJ. And this isn’t the deepest class in the NBA Draft at the three, but there are options in the second round the Bulls could look into. Free agency does have additional depth options that could help sure up the rotation behind OPJ, though.
