A new front office regime is now officially in their first offseason taking over the lead for the Chicago Bulls in the fourth year of the rebuild.
There’s a lot of excitement still surrounding the camp of the Chicago Bulls, despite being knocked out of the rest of the NBA regular season by way of the restart plan. No other Bulls games will be played until next season, but that’s something most fans should be fine with at this point.
The NBA’s Board of Governors approved a plan earlier this week which will include 22 of the best teams in the league competing at Disney World Resort in Orlando to complete the season, starting on July 31. Of the 22 teams, nine are from the Eastern Conference and 13 hail from the Western Conference.
The Bulls were one of a whopping three teams eliminated from the contention to make this new style of play-in playoffs starting at Disney World in Florida next month. The Central Division also saw the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers far out of playoff contention, just like the Bulls. They were all eliminated from the 22-team resumption.
However, the Bulls now get to focus solely on the rebuilding process with this new-look front office regime during the 2020 offseason. There’s a lot of burning questions for the Bulls, including what to do with head coach Jim Boylen. But Karnisovas and Eversley, amongst the rest of the new front office hires, have plenty of time to think this through unimpeded now.
There’s certainly to be some players more excited than others that John Paxson and Gar Forman are now out of power in this organization. Here’s a look into the three players on the current Bulls roster who should be most excited about this shift.
