3. Steve Kerr was a special player and personality for the Bulls

An all-time great shooter, current Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, in NBA history played in five very productive seasons with the Bulls. Kerr was a lethal shooter for the Bulls that just didn’t miss all that much at key times whenever they were making deep playoff runs. He rounded out his run with the Bulls with a true shooting percentage better than 58.0.

But part nine of The Last Dance dove deeper into the personal life and basketball journey of Kerr from his childhood on. He turned to basketball for solace when he received the news in 1984 that his father was shot outside of the country. And it turned out to be the calling card that Kerr built his professional career on to this day.

It sounds like Kerr greatly valued the relationship he held with all-time great shooting guard Michael Jordan and the rest of these great Bulls teams. He really blossomed into the valuable offensive contributor off the bench that also made him famous in two title teams with the San Antonio Spurs in the mid-to-late 1990’s in a Bulls uniform.

Kerr won the Bulls Game 6 of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Jazz. He hit an open three-pointer that would be the nail in the coffin for John Stockon, Karl Malone, and that talented Jazz team.  That gave Kerr one of his five NBA Championships from his lengthy career. And this was likely the one that he contributed the most to.
