Recently hired Chicago Bulls lead executive Arturas Karnisovas has a large looming task ahead for figuring out which players to keep around this offseason.

Whenever the impending offseason arrives for the NBA, the official process of changing the roster construction for the Chicago Bulls new look front office can begin. The Bulls and their fans will get to see first off how the new front office executives are planning to reshape the rebuild. There should be a good lottery draft pick in store this offseason  along with an opportunity to build out the cap sheet to make a run at the star-studded 2021 free agent class.

In the midst of the novel coronavirus pandemic that put the 2019-20 regular season on pause around two months ago, the Bulls were starting to see their rebuild really falter in its third year. The Bulls sit with a 22-43 record during the COVID-19 pandemic induced NBA season hiatus.

The front office changes started with the hiring of former Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas as the executive vice president of basketball operations. Karnisovas is set to replace former vice president of basketball operations John Paxson as the lead executive in the front office.

Paxson is set to be reassigned to a senior advisor role with the Bulls organization. And former general manager Gar Forman was ousted from his role completely. He could land with another NBA team, more than likely touching back to his management roots in a scouting department. Forman started his run with this organization back in the 1990’s in the scouting department.

To replace Forman, Karnisovas hired former Philadelphia 76ers vice president of player personnel Marc Eversley to be the Bulls next general manager. The hiring of Karnisovas and then Eversley seem like solid additions to head up the new-look front office. But what tangible changes will they make to the roster, and who will they keep around heading into next season?

Here’s a deeper look into the three Bulls players that Karnisovas and Eversley could give a second chance to keep around this coming offseason.
