2. Craig Hodges, Guard

Early in his run with the Bulls during the dynasty years, Jordan was getting help from 6-foot-2 and 190 pound combo guard Craig Hodges (who was then at the back end of his NBA career). Hodges would first join the Bulls during the 1988-89 season, where he played in 49 games (starting in six of those).

Hodges played in more than 240 regular season games overall in his run with the Bulls. He averaged 6.2 points per game, while shooting 43.6 percent from the field, 42.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 90.0 percent from the charity stripe. His peak shooting from downtown came at the end of his NBA career.

The three-point attempt rate of Hodges was nearly double with the Bulls what it was with the other team he spent at least four seasons with, the Milwaukee Bucks. He registered a 42.7 percent three-point attempt rate. That is mostly what dragged down his true shooting percentage in the regular season in the Windy City below 56.0.

In 67 games played in the playoffs in a Bulls uniform, Hodges averaged 5.7 points per game, while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 70.8 percent from the charity stripe. He did have a very solid final run in the playoffs with the Bulls, when he shot 45.0 percent from beyond the arc in 1992.
