The 2020 NBA Draft will be a key time for the new-look front office of the Chicago Bulls, whenever draft night is to actually arrive later this summer.

There might not be many assumed game-changers at the top of the 2020 NBA Draft class. It’s just not as talented or potent at the top of the class for 2020 as it was in the year prior or what it is projected to be the year after. And with the Chicago Bulls likely picking in the middle of the draft lottery once again, they need to know where they want to go in the first round.

At this point, the 2020 NBA Draft might not transpire until late into the summer. The usual late-June draft night date is very likely to get pushed back. In a report from The Ringer late last month, it sounds like the NBA Draft could be pushed back either to late August or September.

This will give the Bulls a good amount of extra time to plot out how their draft board will shape up with this new-look front office regime taking over in the Windy City in the midst of the season’s hiatus. The Bulls brought in former Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas to replace John Paxson as the lead executive in the front office. And former Philadelphia 76ers vice president of player personnel Marc Eversley was brought aboard to replace Gar Forman as the next general manager.

The official title for Karnisovas will be executive vice president of basketball operations.

However, one of the stronger suits of Karnisovas with the Nuggets was drafting well, even if it wasn’t in the lottery. He was responsible for building the core that is guard Jamal Murray and big man Nikola Jokic in the Mile High City through the NBA Draft.

Who can Karnisovas look to for the Bulls among the prospects that have legitimate star potential in the 2020 NBA Draft?
