In the 2020 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls need to deepen their rotation to rejuvenate the rebuild and add more at the wing position.
With all the recent front office changes that the Chicago Bulls made in the last month, the fan base has to be getting more excited for a rejuvenated rebuild and what’s to come in the near future. The Reinsdorfs finally pulled the trigger on ending the GarPax era in the Bulls front office. It took too long, but at least it finally came to be.
The Bulls replaced the former vice president of basketball operations John Paxson with Arturas Karnisovas. And former general manager Gar Forman was recently replaced by Marc Eversley. Karnisovas also made a significant hire by bringing aboard former New Orleans Pelicans executive J.J. Polk to be a Bulls assistant general manager.
Moreover, Karnisovas is the former Denver Nuggets general manager and he looks to be a solid hire in the Windy City by all accounts. He was the one that hired the former Philadelphia 76ers vice president of player personnel Eversley to be the next Bulls general manager. And his first move was hiring Polk as an assistant general manager.
With the likes of Paxson and Forman finally out of power in this organization, the NBA Draft and free agency strategy should look a good bit different than it did in recent years. Maybe it will change the Bulls luck too, finding more value in later picks and not falling down to get seventh in the draft lottery.
Once the 2020 NBA Draft does arrive (status and date is still very much up in the air due to the novel coronavirus pandemic), it will be interesting to see what the Bulls do to rejuvenate the rebuild.
Here’s a look into three potential deep sleepers in the 2020 NBA Draft that Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley could be targeting early on for the Chicago Bulls.
