There’s a handful of Chicago Bulls players on the current roster that could benefit from all the front office changes heading into the 2020-21 season.
Finishing up with a record of 22-43 ahead of the novel coronavirus pandemic-induced 2019-20 regular season hiatus, the Chicago Bulls weren’t going anywhere good in the midst of the third year of the rebuild. That’s what prompted so many changes from the top-down so far in the last two months within the Bulls organization.
The first significant change that was made up in the Bulls front office was shifting out former vice president of basketball operations John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman. Paxson will now be holding more of a senior advisor role in the Windy City, while Forman is likely going to be gone entirely.
Getting rid of this GarPax regime is something that this fan base yearned after likely since the rebuild began. In the third year of the rebuild, the Bulls were roughly on pace to finish up with the same regular season record they had in the first year, back in 2017-18.
To replace GarPax, the Reinsdorfs brought in former Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas to be the executive vice president of basketball operations. Karnisovas will be the lead executive voice in the front office, taking over the role that Paxson held previously.
And Karnisovas made his most significant hire to date by bringing aboard the former Philadelphia 76ers vice president of player personnel Marc Eversley to replace Forman as the Bulls next general manager. We’ll see what moves they try and make to the roster construction in the near future.
Here’s a deeper look into the three Chicago Bulls players that could really breakthrough next season with a new front office-regime taking over.
