Three rather unknown players as far as the Chicago Bulls are concerned were teammates with star point guard Derrick Rose for at least a few dozen games.
The last time that the Chicago Bulls were really bona fide NBA Championship contenders for at least two seasons in a row was in the early part of Derrick Rose’s career. At the outset of his run in the NBA with the Bulls, the former MVP winning point guard was a true superstar that was at the top of his position in the entire league.
D-Rose was one of the most entertaining, skilled, and polarizing point guards to watch in all of basketball in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s. Even in the last two seasons, D-Rose found some life in his waning NBA career again as a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves and then the Detroit Pistons.
Part of those talented and deep Bulls teams that also included center Joakim Noah, wing Luol Deng, and small forward Jimmy Butler, among others, D-Rose took this squad to new heights in the early 2010’s. If not for so many knee injuries, it’s hard to know where D-Rose and the Bulls would be at now. He was the last true face of the franchise that took them deep in a playoff run in the Eastern Conference.
Here’s a look into the three players that you forgot played alongside former Chicago Bulls superstar point guard Derrick Rose during his time in the Windy City earlier in his NBA career.
