2. Marc Eversley

An NBA executive that has been around to a few different landing spots is the 76ers senior vice president of player personnel Eversley. The Sixers have one of the more famous front office strategies from the 2010’s, with “The Process” that involved multiple years of tanking.

With that process complete in the way of tanking for the time being, the Sixers have this title contention window that they have to meet with the likes of point guard Ben Simmons and center Joel Embiid at the helm. The Sixers need to figure out what the best path to a title would be for them in the near future. And Eversley would play a role in that decision if he is to stick around.

But Eversley started out his front office run with the Toronto Raptors as a player development assistant in 2006. He would be promoted all the way up to the assistant general manager role with the Raptors in 2010. Eversley was also the vice president of college scouting, prior to resigning with the Raptors in 2013.

Later that same year, Eversley was brought aboard as the vice president of scouting with the Washington Wizards. He would spend three years with the Wizards organization before resigning there and joining the Sixers organization as their vice president of player personnel in May 2016. He was promoted the the current role he holds with the Sixers prior to the start of the 2018-19 season.

Eversley has ties to Bryan Colangelo from his days with the Raptors and Sixers. And he worked for Nike for 10 years prior to taking his first role in an NBA team’s front office.
