6. Luol Deng

In the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, Luol Deng led the league in minutes, scored more than 15 points per game, made an appearance on the All-Defensive Second Team and was a back-to-back All-Star.

When people think of the success that those Bulls teams had, they often think of Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, but none of their success would’ve been possible without Deng.

Man, do I miss prime Luol.

5. Pau Gasol

Pau Gasol is one of those rare NBA legends that had three stellar chapters to his career. He was awesome with Memphis. Then he won two championships with Kobe Bryant in LA. And then, when it seemed like he should be mostly washed up, he was magnificent in Chicago for two seasons.

Gasol’s best years were definitely with Memphis and LA. Chicago is a fairly distant third. But it was awesome to see a guy with Gasol’s legendary history come to Chicago and flourish in his post-prime life.

In his two seasons with the Bulls, Gasol averaged 17.6 points and 11.4 rebounds per game and was a back-to-back All-Star. He was super fun to watch.
