Michael Jordan = Dominic Toretto

Michael Jordan is the best Chicago Bull of all time and it’s not close. Depending on who you ask, he’s often considered to be the greatest basketball player of all time. When you think of the Bulls, you think of Michael Jordan. He’s the one that brought the franchise to global relevance.

Dominic Toretto is to the “Fast & Furious” franchise what MJ was to the Bulls franchise. When you think of the movies, you automatically think of Vin Diesel playing the role of the squad leader. You think of Dom.

There is one key difference between Jordan and Toretto. Toretto cares more about his team than anything. He’d sacrifice himself to save any member of his crew. I’m not sure the same can be said about Jordan. He cared more about winning than anything, even if it meant throwing his teammates under the bus.

I can’t really imagine MJ giving the Bulls a pre-game speech about how the only thing that matters is the team (like Dom did in “Fast Five”). I feel like his speech would be more focused on winning at all costs.

Despite that key difference, Toretto and MJ are still really alike. The Chicago Bulls wouldn’t be what they are without Jordan, and the “Fast & Furious” movie franchise wouldn’t be what it is without Dominic Toretto.
