Jimmy Butler = Roman Pearce

Roman Pearce — “Rome” for short — wasn’t in the first movie of the franchise. He didn’t make his debut until “2 Fast 2 Furious.” Likewise, Jimmy Butler wasn’t around for the first stint of good Bulls basketball (or even the second or third really), but once he showed up, he was a dynamic guy in the Chicago-basketball world.

Both Rome and Butler have a unique ability to talk themselves into trouble. They each have no filter on their mouths.

Bulls and Wolves fans will never forget that about Butler. Remember when he exploded during a Wolves practice and carried some low-level bench guys to a scrimmage win over the best guys on the team? Remember how he told the Wolves’ GM in that same practice the team can’t win without him?

Normally, Rome’s tirades are a little more lighthearted and comical, but he still has a way with words that can rub people the wrong way.

Regardless of how divisive they can be, Rome and Jimmy Buckets are both winners at the end of the day. They always seem to get the job done.
