Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 1991-92. player. Shooting Guard. Bob Hansen. 1. 24

The last name on this list for the Bulls is like the rest in that the volume of his playing time wasn’t so much the problem as his still lacking efficiency when he was on the floor on one of these Jordan teams. Limited playing time was also a storyline of the final player on this list.

The 6-foot-6 and 190 pound former Iowa Hawkeyes shooting guard Bob Hansen was picked up by the Utah Jazz in the third round of the 1983 NBA Draft. He was selected one year before the Bulls picked up Jordan in the famed 1984 draft. And there were some decent seasons that Hansen had in the NBA prior to landing with the Bulls.

At the age of 31, Hansen was to play the final season of his NBA career with the Bulls in the second title year. In 1991-92, Hansen played in 66 games with the Bulls. But he didn’t start in any one of them. In those 66 games played he averaged 2.5 points per game, 1.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.4 steals, while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from the charity stripe.

The advanced numbers don’t do Hansen any favors either. He registered box plus/minus rating of -4.1, value over replacement player rating of -0.4, .054 win shares per 48 minutes, and less than one win share total on the season. A 46.2 true shooting percentage as a shooting guard is pretty bad too.
