Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine will take on Deandre Ayton tonight in an NBA 2K showdown. Here are the latest odds and things to watch for.

The coronavirus pandemic has everyone getting creative with content. People are home, social distancing and bored. We miss sports!

Thanks to the NBA, ESPN and NBA 2K, though, hoops fans will be able to watch a live video game tournament between some of the NBA’s coolest customers.

Starting tonight, 16 NBA players will participate in a 2K tournament with the winner receiving a $100,000 reward they can give to the charity of their choice. It’s not real basketball, but it’s the next best thing, right?

Since there are only 16 players in the tournament, many teams are left unrepresented. Thankfully, the Chicago Bulls are not one of those teams. Zach LaVine is the seven seed and will take on the 10 seed, Phoenix Suns big man Deandre Ayton, tonight in a first-round matchup. The winner will move on to play either Trae Young or Harrison Barnes in round two.

If you’re looking to place a friendly wager on tonight’s LaVine-Ayton showdown, Bovada has the hookup. According to Bovada, LaVine is a 3.5-point underdog and +135 if you bet the moneyline.

I’ve never seen LaVine or Ayton play 2K before, so I have no knowledge going into this matchup, but for some reason I’m offended that LaVine is the underdog. He’s well-known in the NBA gaming community as a guy who has talent.

It’ll be interesting to see if they play 2K similar to their playing styles in real life. Will Ayton favor post touches? Will LaVine just run around with perimeter chuckers? Only time will tell.

The LaVine-Ayton game will be on ESPN2 at 7:30 pm CT.
