With the 2020 NBA Draft (somewhat) right around the corner, let’s look at five of the most underrated prospects for the Chicago Bulls.

Normally, this is the time of the year when NBA fans are watching March Madness scouting out their favorite college guys and talking about who they want their favorite teams to draft in the summer. The coronavirus has stopped us from experiencing the joy of March Madness, but it can’t stop us from talking about our favorite draft prospects.

The 2020 NBA Draft is unique. Unlike a lot of years, there won’t be a clear-cut pecking order at the front end of the draft. Last year, it was pretty clear what was going to happen. Zion Williamson was going to go first, then Ja Morant and then RJ Barrett. In 2020, there are at least seven guys that could all go in the top three.

Let’s take this opportunity to focus on some guys that are flying under the radar heading into the draft. Here are five underrated prospects.

5. Devin Vassell – Florida State

After a mediocre freshman season at FSU, Devin Vassell exploded in his sophomore year, forcing his way into the minds of NBA scouts.

Vassell projects as an above-average role player on the wing — someone who can guard multiple positions, shoot the three, get out in transition and attack the rim. At a lengthy 6-foot-6, he has the frame to be an ideal perimeter guy in the NBA.

Right now, Vassell is looking like a mid-to-late first-round pick, but if the Bulls end up near the end of the lottery (you know, somewhere in the 10-14 range), Vassell is a guy they should target.

Chicago desperately needs help on the wing, and Vassell is a great two-way prospect.
