4. Zach LaVine
Jan. 25: 118-106 win vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
On multiple occasions this season, the Chicago Bulls saw their 6-foot-6 shooting guard LaVine take complete advantage of the inexperienced and unproven backcourt of the Central Division foe Cavaliers. Both of the best game scores registered by any Bulls player in the season to date came against the Cavaliers.
In this Jan. 25 showdown which was one of the few double-digit wins for the Bulls this season, LaVine managed a near triple-double, as he had a game-high 44 points. To go along with those 44 points, LaVine posted 10 rebounds, eight assists, and one steal. He also had just four turnovers, which is pretty solid given his incredible usage rate in this game of 43.7 percent.
Not only was this one of the best games of the season so far for LaVine, it was one of the highest usage rates. He took a whopping 30 field goal attempts, but was efficient in the process as he posted a true shooting percentage of 65.6. This was also one of the better offensive ratings (127) and box plus/minus ratings (9.9) of any game for LaVine.
There wasn’t many other contributions that stood out from any other Bulls player in this game, outside of maybe combo guard Tomas Satoransky. Sato gave the Bulls 19 points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. There were at least three other Bulls starters that scored in double figures against the Cavaliers outside of LaVine.
