We’ve hit the double-digit day mark since the NBA season was placed on hiatus. What’s going on with the Chicago Bulls and around the league?

Another slow news cycle in the NBA world on the morning of March 21 made for a rather desolate start to the weekend for most basketball fans searching for some sort of entertainment from the sport. But the Chicago Bulls did have a few players that got more involved in the social media game and the local news cycle later in the day on March 20 and on Saturday morning.

The NBA is still without a definitive timeline for when it will be back up and running, and ideas are still being tossed around among fans and the media for what will happen when the hiatus is lifted. Yet, since the NBA announced that it would be giving fans League Pass for free to watch re-runs of games in the midst of the hiatus, there is at least something for basketball fans to be entertained by.

With the NBA now going on 10 days without game action, what’s going on with the Bulls and around the entirety of the league.

What’s happening with the Bulls and around the NBA

Bulls and dogs hooping

Shooting guard Zach LaVine gave a lot of entertainment to the NBA world on March 20, when he posted a video on his Instagram page playing one-on-one basketball with his dog. LaVine also made a positive contribution earlier this week with a contribution of meals in Seattle.

Dunk contest vote on Twitter

The Bulls are running a slam dunk contest vote for the best of what we’ve seen from current and former players on the team’s official Twitter page. Former Bulls superstar point guard Derrick Rose dominated a lot of the dunks up for the vote.

NBA Draft declarations

Two potential Bulls prospects in the 2020 NBA Draft sat among the bigger of the declarations earlier this week. Those two big names to watch for the 2020 NBA Draft includes Duke Blue Devils point guard Tre Jones and Auburn Tigers small forward Isaac Okoro.

But the biggest name overall to announce he would be declaring entry into the 2020 NBA Draft of late is the former Georgia Bulldogs superstar shooting guard Anthony Edwards. There’s a good chance that Edwards could be the first pick in this year’s draft.

NBA announces player pay through April 1

Although the NBA season was placed on hiatus back on March 11 due to the Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert testing positive for COVID-19, the league recently announced (ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news) it would be covering player pay through April 1. But it sounds like the NBA is still uncertain on what it will do after the April 1 pay period is behind them.
