Of just over 20 to pick from, what are the five best and most memorable wins for the Chicago Bulls prior to the NBA’s hiatus on the season?
Considering they hold a record of 22-43 through 65 games in the 2019-20 regular season, the Chicago Bulls don’t have much to boast in the midst of the NBA hiatus. The Bulls were well out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference prior to the hiatus.
The NBA had its 2019-20 season on hiatus since Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for novel coronavirus back on March 11. The last game the Bulls played in resulted in one of their 22 wins, on March 10 against the Cleveland Cavaliers by the final score of 108-103 at home at the United Center.
While the Bulls did finish up prior to the NBA’s hiatus with a win, they didn’t end on a high note. The Bulls had lost 12 of 15 games after a rough overtime defeat to the Indiana Pacers on Jan. 29. In that Jan. 29 loss to the Pacers, shooting guard Victor Oladipo hit a key shot late in the game in his return from a quad rupture he suffered last year.
There’s also other blemishes on the Bulls record this season such as a season sweep at the hands of the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets, and an eight-game losing streak last month. The Bulls didn’t put together the best run throughout the third year of the rebuild under head coach Jim Boylen.
Given all the downsides to what the Bulls showed so far this season, prior to the hiatus, there are a few positive points that gives better memories for the fan base to look back on. A lot of what we need right now, given all the COVID-19 outbreak precautions, is a set of more positive memories.
The Bulls did manage to still have a few worthy wins to think back on this season. Here’s a look into the five best wins for the Chicago Bulls through 65 games prior to the NBA season suspension.
