There’s two sensational French point guards that will highlight the 2020 NBA Draft Big Board that I’m taking on here. The first up on the list is the 6-foot-4 versatile shot creator and distributor Theo Maledon. In an impressive season overseas with ASVEL, Maledon averaged 15.1 points per game, 5.6 assists, and 4.0 rebounds.

The shooting for Maledon does have to improve, but he’s looking like a solid mid-to-top tier point guard that is lengthier and has a very high ceiling in this draft class.

The second of two Mississippi State products on this big board has a much higher ceiling than the last, with sophomore shooting guard Robert Woodard standing out in the college hoops season that was. The 6-foot-7 and 230 pound Columbus, MS, native averaged 11.4 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and one block.

Woodard was able to all that while shooting 49.5 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc. He’s a load to deal with on both ends of the floor, and should see his draft stock rise a bit when he’s able to show what he can do at the 2020 NBA Draft Combine.

One of the most entertaining prospects to watch in this draft class at any guard position is the Kentucky 6-foot-3 and 200 pound Garland, TX, native Tyrese Maxey. Averaging 14.0 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, while shooting 42.7 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe is not an easy thing to do in your first season at Kentucky.

The problems in Maxey’s game stem from his lack of outside shooting ability and how turnover prone he can be at times. A subpar offensive rating, shooting less than 30 percent from beyond the arc, and turning the ball over more than twice per game is why I have Maxey lower than most would.
