3. Shaquille Harrison, Combo Guard

One player that the Chicago Bulls should be keeping around beyond the 2019-20 season that offers a ton of value on both ends of the floor off the bench is Harrison. In the absence of a host of Bulls guards of late, Harrison took center stage. In the last three games, his production dramatically improved too.

Harrison registered a career-best 25 points in the Bulls loss to the Pacers on March 6. He’s playing very complete basketball of late, and the Bulls are nearly beating some good teams because of it. Harrison is actually contributing more on the offensive end of the floor this season than 6-foot-4 point guard Kris Dunn did prior to his season-ending knee injury.

There’s also a lot that Harrison does for the Bulls on defense too. He’s got a 2.4 defensive box plus/minus rating to go along with a career-best 106 defensive rating so far this season. Harrison is also averaging 4.8 points per game, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists, while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 41.0 percent from beyond the arc in more than 40 games played this season.

The contract that the Bulls have Harrison on is one of the more underrated and valuable in the Central Division. Harrison is on the books for less than $900K this year, and the qualifying offer for him would be around $1.7 million next season. Keep him in the rotation and continue to elevate his role as he proves his NBA value.
