An updated list of players for the Chicago Bulls who shouldn’t be on the roster at the outset of the 2020-21 regular season is clearer by now.
As the Chicago Bulls continue to fall down the Eastern Conference standings, the certainty that they need to make ample changes to the coaching staff, front office, and the roster rises. The Bulls carried a record of 20-39 into what was a rather uninspiring Feb. 29 matchup on the road at Madison Square Garden against the lowly New York Knicks.
These two teams are about as bad as it gets in terms of franchise outlook in the entirety of the Eastern Conference right now. The Bulls don’t have much direction the third year of their rebuild under the direction of head coach Jim Boylen. Vice president of basketball operations John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman haven’t done anything to get this fan base to buy into the rebuild of late.
If front office and coaching staff changes are finally just over the horizon for this Bulls organization, then the roster is very likely to be reshaped too. But change will start from the top-down for the Bulls, and GarPax needs to lose a lot of the power they have now.
Where should the Bulls start with roster and coaching staff changes if they are to make sweeping changes from the top-down? There’s really any number of ways the Bulls can go here since the lack of direction for the immediate future of the rebuild puts all options on the table.
Here’s a look into the three players from the Chicago Bulls roster who should be gone by the start of the 2020-21 NBA season.
