A good possible trade partner for the Chicago Bulls during the 2020 offseason could be the Brooklyn Nets, while using center Jarrett Allen as a chip.

Entering the 2020 offseason, all options should be on the table for the Chicago Bulls to try and rebuild this franchise. Although the Bulls sit in the midst of the third year of their current rebuild, vice president of basketball operations John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman just aren’t getting it done.

There’s no direction with the Bulls front office and the rebuild appears to be lost at this point.

Some of the previous acquisitions the Bulls made that looked good at the time are now watered down since the front office wasn’t able to put together a complete roster and a good coaching staff at any point over the course of the last two years. The Bulls had a few quality free agent signings last summer, but those are now worn down by poor usage by head coach Jim Boylen.

Where can the Bulls go from here?

Turning to the trade block might be an option. The Bulls don’t have many other options to try and upgrade the roster in free agency this offseason. This cycle of free agency is very weak compared to 2019 and 2021. That shouldn’t be where the Bulls management wants to invest all of their resources.

One trade partner that could be emerging for a number of rebuilding teams around the NBA is the Brooklyn Nets. According to a report from ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, the Nets could be looking to offload the likes of center Jarrett Allen, point guard Spencer Dinwiddie, and shooting guard/small forward Caris LeVert this offseason.

Those three players would definitely offer a couple avenues for the Bulls to upgrade their roster during the 2020 offseason.

Here’s a look into three potential offseason trade packages for the Chicago Bulls with the Brooklyn Nets for the coming summer.
