1. Mike Zarren

Current Position: Boston Celtics assistant GM

Staying in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls could make a really good move by hauling assistant general manager Mike Zarren away from the Boston Celtics. Since he originally was promoted to a managerial role within the Celtics organization, Zarren saw a lot of roster turnover, but a lot of successful playoff runs.

The Celtics have one of the more stocked front offices, and underrated groups at that, in the NBA. Danny Ainge built a solid organization in Boston, and produced a good roster that could be a dark horse title contender this year if the Bucks waiver again in the playoffs. Ainge and Zarren efficiently overhauled their roster last offseason to sign Kemba Walker and improve the supporting cast around Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.

Zarren is considered to be one of the leading advanced analytics and statistical development minds in any NBA front office in this day and age. He’s served in a managerial role for the Celtics for well over a decade now. Zarren actually started as an unpaid intern with the organization. He is responsible for the team’s salary cap management and leading new technologies.

If the Bulls want to finally effectively move into the modern age of basketball, then look no further than Zarren. He helped to construct a successful and well-rounded roster with the Celtics. He’s also seen the Celtics win a title since taking over in a managerial role. Zarren has a lot of experience facing the Bulls since the days of Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose standing out in the Windy City.
