1. Zach LaVine

Without further ado, the top reason why the Bulls could make the playoffs is because of Zach LaVine. He needs to continue putting his team on his back night in and night out in order for the Bulls to make the playoffs.

LaVine has clearly become the team’s No. 1 option, despite the critics who argue Markkanen needs to shoot the ball more. In the past, there was questions about his durability after having ACL surgery a few years ago. This appears to be a thing of the past by many accounts.

LaVine nearly became an All-Star for the first time in his career. This is not a knock against him. At age 24, LaVine still has a lot of youth on his side. I still believe he has what it takes to be named an All-Star in the years to come.

Currently, LaVine is averaging is 25.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. He has yet to miss a game all season long. Meanwhile, the Bulls’ injury report lists LaVine as probable with a right knee contusion and neck spasms.

The hope is that LaVine continues to rise to the occasion. If he can make it happen, the chances of the Bulls making the playoffs becomes all the more likely.
