Three role players are making a big impact for the Chicago Bulls this season, despite the poor play of the team of late in this six game skid.

A poor start to the regular season doesn’t look any better in the second half so far for the Chicago Bulls. Heading into their home showdown against the ninth place Washington Wizards at the United Center on Feb. 11, the Bulls carried a record of 19-35. They now sit on a six-game losing streak after falling short to the Wizards at home, and this was one of their worst losses in recent memory.

The Bulls are stuck in a weird place where they still have some playoff hopes, granted not good ones, but aren’t in a position to completely tank either. Granted that loss to the Wizards makes it seem like the Bulls should go into complete tanking mode with head coach Jim Boylen offering the fan base little to no confidence in his ability in his role to pull this team together.

However, before this six-game losing streak began there was some positive thoughts on the Bulls rotation that was pieced together last offseason. The Bulls did have a deeper rotation entering this season than they did last. A couple of solid 2019 summer acquisitions through the NBA Draft and free agency provided more hope for the Bulls heading into this season.

John Paxson and Gar Forman tend to find ways to diminish the excitement for the Bulls franchise, even in the third year of the rebuild. Any excitement that was build heading into this season diminished before even the 60-game mark. What hope can be left will be built upon this rotation heating up once the Bulls get healthier. That will rely heavily on their role players.

Here’s a deeper look into the three most important role players for the Chicago Bulls so far through the 2019-20 regular season.
